FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wanaque Democrats elect new Borough leadership
Wanaque, NJ – January 26, 2007 – The membership of the
Wanaque Borough Democratic Club held a swearing in ceremony last week formally
introducing the new Democratic leadership of the borough. The newly elected President, Dave DaSilva, brings a new
vision to the Democratic Club and plans to focus on listening to the ideas and
concerns of all Wanaque residents during his first year in office.
“Every resident of Wanaque needs to have a voice in the decisions made
in our borough and I believe that the Wanaque Democratic Club can assist them in
making their voices heard,” said DaSilva, “we plan on having open
discussions at all of our meetings for fellow residents to let us know about
their questions and concerns.” Vice President Sandra Lawson added, “We invite each one
of our neighbors to take an active role in supporting the new vision of the
Wanaque Democratic Club and hope to make our club membership the strongest in
our 75 year history.” Also sworn in at the club’s January meeting were Amanda
DaSilva as Recording Secretary, Jean Bakula at Treasurer, Barbara Greenwood as
